The Education System in San Diego

San Diego is ranked as the 9th most educated city in the United States.¬†Independent school districts operate public schools in San Diego. The San Diego Unified School District serves the majority of the public schools in the city, the second-largest school district in California, which includes 11 K‚Äď8 schools, 107 elementary schools, 24 middle schools, 13 atypical and alternative schools, 28 high schools, and 45¬†charter schools. Some of the school districts that surround San Diego area also serve the residents of San Diego. Some of these school districts include¬†¬†Poway Unified School District,¬†Del Mar Union School District,¬†San Dieguito Union High School District, and¬†Sweetwater Union High School District.¬†Public colleges and universities in the city include¬†San Diego State University¬†(SDSU), the¬†University of California, San Diego¬†(UCSD), and the¬†San Diego Community College District. Aviation and Military Training in San Diego

San Diego set a claim for the aviation title of the west as early as World War 1. The city is home to famous airplane developers and manufacturers like Ryan Airlines, which is currently known as¬†Ryan Aeronautical¬†and was founded in 1925, and¬†Consolidated Aircraft, which was recently renamed¬†Conair¬†and was founded in 1923. The famous¬†Charles A.
